This is a short one, mainly meant to give my appreciation to the one and only Jeremy Vyska. But to explain where this is coming from: I have been publicly speaking for quite some years now. It started more or less immediately at the beginning of my career when my manager realized that (for a techie) I have some communication skills. When I really started to go into the tech community roughly 10-12 years ago, that extended into conference talks. Getting feedback on that can be quite tricky. I usually get somewhat good ratings and comments, but also e.g. one from my first bigger audience that was “well prepared, but oh so boring”. That stuck with me :) Since then, I always wanted to get well grounded and argued feedback and thanks to Jeremy, I learned how to use AI to get exactly that.

The TL;DR

Just go to https://github.com/JeremyVyska/copilot-junk-drawer/tree/main/talk-eval-kit, clone the repo (in a devcontainer, my very small contribution to this) and follow the agentic instructions. You will get an amazing result!

My little contribution to this was a PR to make sure that you can use the tool without having to install anything locally. If you use the “Clone repository in container volume” action from the devcontainer extension in VS Code, you only wait for a few seconds to a few minutes and you are ready to go. But really, that is only a tiny contribution to the amazing tool that Jeremy has built and that comes to live with the help of AI.
